The upcoming months of June and July bring the sunshine and all the colours of the rainbow! Although there are Pride events throughout the year, the majority of them happen over the summer. (Obviously, how are you supposed to sparkle in the cold?)
Like any large event, sustainability has become a major concern. Pride Brighton and the charity OUT for Sustainability have focused their ethos on bringing together social and environmental justice. Both have committed to improving their environmental impact whilst representing the LGBT+ community.
To help you with your sustainable development and environmental goals, we have curated a list of our top eco Pride branded Merchandise to get you Pride-ready.
At events, it can be very easy to use and go through a lot of single-use plastic items. Plastic cups, straws and event passes are thrown away in the thousands at the end of Pride. Reduce your environmental impact and boost your brand awareness by removing single-use plastic from any Pride merchandise.
Bottles
Keeping hydrated on a hot summer day is vital, and so is keeping drinks safe when out in public. Although Pride is a safe event, it is always sensible to reduce any risk to yourself. Having a branded water bottle ticks two boxes in one. Water bottle users can dance, skip and sashay around the streets with your brand on full display!
Straws
We all know that plastic straws are toxic to the environment, and honestly, paper straws are not a great experience (they can be flimsy and go soggy!) However, we have the perfect alternative, Metal and retractable straws are the future when it comes to events.
Cardholders
With so many events being held over Pride, the number of passes and event vouchers can feel overwhelming. As passes and vouchers are small in size and easy to lose, we would recommend holding them in our Bio mobile card holder. Made from eco-friendly PLA (polylactic acid), which is corn starch and sugarcane, it is the perfect solution for keeping event passes in order.
Pride marches and parades are often all-day events, so attendees will need a bag to keep all their essential items in. As Pride is all about standing out and expressing yourself, it is crucial to dress in style! Your branded products can live up to the theme whilst still letting you expand your presence.
Cotton Bag
Keep essentials together in this 100% cotton 140g/m² drawstring bag with a 23 x 32 cm printing area. Now your logo can be displayed proudly at Pride.
T-shirt
Branded apparel is an excellent way to bring a team together. If your company or brand is involved in Pride or Pride events, it helps give a cohesive look plus, Pride is all about community. View the range of colours available in this fan favourite Lqoniq Manuel recycled cotton t-shirt.
AWARE™ backpack
This lightweight backpack is made with AWARE™ tracer. AWARE™ uses genuine recycled fabric materials. All of their products also come with their water reduction impact guarantee. 2% of all proceeds go to water charities.
No Pride outfit is complete without accessories. Themed accessories are traditionally cheap to make, poor quality and easily thrown away. However, we know the effect that plastic pollution has. Instead, invest in your promotional merchandise and ensure your branded items are loud, proud and reusable.
Fans
Pride attendees might want to look hot, but they don’t want to be hot. It is important to stay cool. Leave the batteries and heavy plastic fans at home. Instead, slay the look with a stylish plastic-free bamboo hand fan.
Compact, lightweight and with a 42 x 20 cm printing space, help people fan away the heat whilst promoting your brand.
Speaker
Living it large and being sustainable can now go hand in hand with the Roca Limestone & Corn Bluetooth speaker. Made with environmentally friendly materials, whether it’s pumping tunes or dancing through the streets, you can have a branded speaker without the environmental impact.
Mints ?
Celebrating all day can be tiring; help people keep their energy up and their breath smelling minty fresh with branded eco mints. They are also very shareable, and ideal for making friends at Pride events.
